Chasing Titans released an awesome EP, and we had time to dive deep into their kickass track “New Depravity!”
How do you maintain your innocence when forced to perform wicked acts? Chasing Titans explore this in their track “New Depravity.” The song is based on Ferdinand Lyle from the horror series Penny Dreadful. It dives into the mental gymnastics a person would have to do to maintain their moral compass while in a horribly chaotic environment. As things burn around you, what would you do?

Chasing Titans say, “This song serves as a reminder to me of the profound impact our emotions can have on our humanity. They can guide us towards either positivity or negativity, regardless of our character. Writing it has been a reflective process for me, causing me to dive deep into my own emotions and thoughts. It has inspired me to place empathy above judgment in my interactions with others.”
“New Depravity” offers comfort through the emotional and psychological struggles that people fight through. Chasing Titans want you to know that these battles aren’t uncommon, and we’re not alone in experiencing them. They want to remind their listeners that these struggles are part of the human condition, and we could all relate in some way.
“New Depravity” is a hard-hitting metal track that’ll have you screaming along with the lyrics while you slam dance in your room. Fans of Trivium, Architects, Bring Me The Horizon, and Killswitch Engage will instantly fall in love with “New Depravity.” It’s pretty much a requirement for you to put it in your playlist!
