Sometimes we all need a push, but it was easy to listen to “Push” by Rad Stacey from their Shhh. . . Tell ‘Em All EP from 2020.
Founded in 2017 with a menagerie of musicians that have worked together in the scene for years, Rad Stacey released their inaugural EP, Shhh. . . Tell ‘Em All in 2020. “Just breathe in and bleed out” are the main lyrics to the chorus in Rad Stacey’s “Push.” These words are so simple but are the driving force to the deeper meaning of the song. “Push” reminds us all that sometimes we need a little help to notice all the great things life has to offer us. So, remember to breathe in the good and bleed out the bad. The chorus is incredibly catchy, as its simple structure lends itself to what music is all about, enjoying it. You could scream the lyrics and headbang to your heart’s content because you were given the push to actually live. Not to mention the melody burrows into your head! Life is all about the simple pleasures, and with this song, Rad Stacey has no pretense but came with purely awesome riffs, great vocals, bumping bass, and rad beats! The song could fit easily with Easycore, Metalcore, Pop-Punk, Post-Hardcore, and Alternative Rock, but its incredibly unique structure and tone make it stand out. “Push” is an absolute joy to listen to, and it genuinely got stuck in my head while I was writing this review. If you love songs that “Push” you to live, you’re a fan of Four Year Strong, A Day to Remember, Rise Against, and Falling in Reverse, then you need “Push” to be in your playlist now!
