Review: “I’m Your Rain” sounds like an epic anime intro infused with 90s alternative rock! The song instantly hooks you with the mournful guitar opening and blows you away with an infectious vocal melody. The drums and bass hook you into a groove that’ll have you banging your head through the whole tune. AMEL D’s voice is gorgeous, powerful, and is reminiscent of singing sensation Melissa Etheridge. 90s alternative is making a strong comeback with AMEL D! In terms of the lyrics, you have to respect people who have the courage to write songs in a language that isn’t their native tongue, and there is an audience that will enjoy this track. The words describe a forlorn person missing her long-distance lover who may have found affection elsewhere. Anyone who has been crushed from a despondent relationship experience could relate to how this tune feels. AMEL D delivers the melody in her classic raspy voice with such emotion, you can’t help but feel like you’re the person in the song, missing a distant lover.
