First off, What’s up with your name? Is there a story behind it?
Embers represents a rebirth, a forging of something beautiful out of destruction. A lot of my music has to do with overcoming struggle.
Tell us about your musical past, would you tell us about your early years?
I learned how to play guitar in my teens and had bands in high school. We used to record music and just jam, it was a different time in music. Crazy to see how far music has come in technology.
How would you describe your sound?
My sound is a mix of nostalgic emo and pop punk taste and electronic elements that help breathe fresh life into something familiar.
Which artists have the biggest influence on your sound?
I was listening to a lot of Guardin and Nothing, Nowhere when I began tracking. The honesty they bring to their tracks really hit home for me.
What’s the last song you listened to?
Blue by Guardin
What’s your source for hearing new music?
I mostly listen to Spotify daily mixes. I like hearing things I’m familiar with in between new tracks so it keeps my attention.
Who is your dream producer?
I love Skrillex. His ability to create grimy sounds in such an aggressive but tasteful way has always impressed me.
If you could collaborate with anyone, who would it be?
I’d love to collaborate with Dua Lipa. She’s so dope.
What led you to music, and what motivates you to keep making it?
I’ve always seen music as an outlet. A way to express yourself and a true therapy. A release of all of lifes frustrations and a way to reflect on your past, present, and future.
Tell us about the songwriting process. How does it all come together?
Songwriting for me comes in waves. When I’m inspired I might write 4 or 5 songs in one night. I could finish an album in a week or it could take me 4 months. It all depends on where my mind is at, but once it flows, it flows.
How do you connect with your audience? What is the easiest way for them to connect with you?
I love seeing people at shows in person. Meeting fans who have started to follow and know my music has been mindblowing. No online interaction can match that experience.

What’s next for you?
LOTS of MUSIC. I have so much I’ve been working on that hasn’t been heard. I can’t wait and I’ll be collaborating with some more friends. 🙂
