Lorenzo from Six Impossible told us a bit about their track “Twenty Something.” We’re glad to hear what he has to say!
“Twenty Something” – Story by Lorenzo of Six Impossible Things
Twenty Something was the first song I wrote for this new record, if my memory serves me right it was even before recording our second EP. When we came back from the UK, after recording Sometimes You Fall Asleep In Front Of Me, our town was the first one in Europe to be hit by COVID-19, so we found ourselves under lockdown with Twenty Something and a bunch of other songs ready and we immediately started writing some more. In the summer of 2021 we decided to isolate ourselves in Nicky’s parents basement to work on those songs. It was the two of us and one of our best friends Alberto Rigato (the guy who shot the cover artwork of our upcoming EP). We cleared out the kitchen area, put our gear there and just recorded demos every single day for two weeks. We started thinking about developing our sound and adding members to our live shows, so this was the first time for us demoing songs with drum and bass, and it takes a lot to figure out our new identity and where we wanted to go. A year later we finally found Enrico (Bass) and Andrea (Drums); they started practicing with us and they helped us to shape the sound of The Physical Impossibility of Death in the Mind of Someone Living, our new EP, that will be out on September 27th via Dear Gear Records.
Thank you
Lorenzo, Six Impossible Things
