One Hundred Moons Premieres Captivating Music Video for “Viva Forever” Cover

Toronto’s own dream pop and shoegaze ensemble, One Hundred Moons, is thrilled to announce the release of their visually striking music video for the cover of the Spice Girls‘ iconic hit, “Viva Forever.” Released today, after it’s world premiere on Live in Limbo, the video was entirely self-produced in the band’s jam space and directed and edited by guitarist/ producer Collin Young, highlighting their multifaceted talents and DIY ethos.

Following their mesmerizing cover of Soundgarden’s “4th of July,” One Hundred Moons continues to explore and reinterpret ’90s classics through their unique sonic lens. Their version of “Viva Forever” has already captivated audiences with its dreamlike soundscape and ethereal melodies. Now, the accompanying music video promises to enchant viewers with its compelling imagery and storytelling, enhancing the auditory experience with a visual journey through nostalgia and memory.

Collin Young, the video’s director and the band’s guitarist and producer, shared his thoughts on the project: “We shot and edited the video ourselves. I think being in total control of every step of the process has helped ensure the end result is what we envisioned. It’s amazing how with today’s technology, what would have taken a bigger budget just a short time ago, can be produced for next to, or literally nothing.

Shot in various setups around their jam space, the video blends intimate performance footage with surreal visual effects, creating a narrative that is both poignant and evocative. The video invites viewers to immerse themselves in a world where time stands still, and music bridges the gap between past and present.

The release of the “Viva Forever” music video marks an exciting moment for One Hundred Moons, showcasing their artistic growth and commitment to creating immersive experiences for their audience. Fans can watch the video on the band’s official YouTube channel and stream the track across all major platforms.

As One Hundred Moons continues to make waves in the music world, they invite listeners to join them on a voyage through time, sound, and vision. With their innovative covers and captivating visuals, they’re not just revisiting the past; they’re redefining the future of indie music.
