ZigSeven is throwing down the gauntlet with “Fester (My Hate),” a feral Hard Rock anthem that drips with the venom of 90s radio rage. This scorcher of a track feels like it was born from the ashes of Ozzfest’s golden era—gritty, groovy, and unapologetically pissed off. For fans of Rob Zombie, Soundgarden, Godsmack, and Alice in Chains, this one’s going to hit like a sucker punch to the soul.
From the opening riff, “Fester (My Hate)” roars with purpose. The vocals are hot, raw, and snarling—perfectly capturing the theme of suppressed fury and emotional implosion. This isn’t just catharsis; it’s combustion. With lyrics that lodge in your brain and a tight rhythm section that drives like a freight train, the song builds momentum until it slams into a punishing half-time breakdown that feels like the final snap of a coiled spring.
The track’s meaning digs deep into the danger of bottling up rage until it explodes—”Biting the bullet till it finally pops off in your mouth.” It’s a visceral, relatable concept wrapped in groove-heavy riffs and molten attitude. As the band explains, “Fester (My Hate)” was the first demo for what became The Fool EP and ultimately the spark that set off a series of Tarot-themed EPs. It’s easy to see why—this track is a catalyst, pure and simple.
“Fester (My Hate)” isn’t just a throwback—it’s a call to arms. It brings back the feeling of throwing horns in the air and screaming your lungs out in the pit. With killer guitar work, seething energy, and a melodic core buried under all the rage, ZigSeven is making Hard Rock dangerous again.
