Anndy Negative, The ‘Dark Prince of Emo Pop Punk’, continues his ever-growing catalogue of horror-insipired music with “Five Nights at Freddy’s”. Released October 1, the latest single marks the sixth release of the year from the Ottawa-based artist and suits the brand he has tirelessly established for himself.
Previously releasing singles inspired by other beloved franchises like Goosebumps, Teenage Mutant Ninja Turtles, and Beetlejuice; Five Nights at Freddy’s is right in his wheelhouse. The distorted opening lines immediately create an atmosphere of discomfort, and then quickly establishes the catchy pop-punk rhythms that are easy to bob along to.
While named after the horror franchise, the song “Five Nights at Freddy’s” is more personal. Anndy Negative writes: “Some nights, it feels like the past never really leaves. The shadows creep in, and you hear voices you thought you’d silenced long ago. They don’t whisper—they hunt. That’s what inspired “Five Nights At Freddy’s” but instead of animatronics, it’s the ghosts of everything you tried to outrun (but also animatronics)”.

With over 46K subscribers to his YouTube channel and tens of thousands of social media followers, Anndy Negative creates content relentlessly for his many fans. Along with his music, Negative also offers playthrough tutorials, information on production, music history, and more.
