Following the sudden disbanding of Soulish, Cole Solish took time to reflect, re-examine, and has released the first single from this newly-minted solo project. Released on October 17, ‘For Me’ marks the first track of a new EP that finds Solish writing and performing as a one-piece without losing any textures and authenticity that Soulish is known for.

Driven by a dreamy and nostalgic guitar hook, ‘For Me’ is a song built on experience and growth. Swaying between things that have been lost and things that have been found, ‘For Me’ celebrates the power of individualism – the essence of what remains when everything else feels like it’s fallen apart. ‘For Me’ was mixed by Simon Austin and mastered by Jamie King.
In an excerpt from the band’s instagram post, Solish writes: “Music has been a weird journey for me this past year with a lot of ups, downs and unexpected moments. It’s been a long road to get here, but I’m so glad I took it.”
The single precedes the release of I Suppose, a new 4 track EP due out this December. In a surprise move, the new EP was uploaded in its entirety for people to enjoy ahead of its official release date. Sparked by his travels in Mexico, the upcoming EP feels more contemplative, and explores the rhythm of calm while keeping signature touches of modern psychedelia.
At its core, ‘For Me’ is about love. It can hurt, it can heal, and it can be shared with the people who are ready to accept it.
