Like a dark prophecy coming to fruition, Pale Horse Ritual have released their much anticipated debut album Diabolic Formation. Incorporating sinister elements of stoner rock, doom, and heavy psych, this debut is rhythmically imposing with a dense atmosphere that things are not well.

Officially formed in 2024, this Hamilton-based outfit immediately set out to spread mindbending mysticism through sludgy, chugging guitars and occult-inspired narratives. Originally started as a side project, Pale Horse Ritual’s nod to 70’s metal drew immediate attention and their Enchantress EP was in heavy rotation last year.
Preceded by singles “Wickedness” and “Bloody Demon”, the fuzzed-out guitars and pounding drums drive the majority of Diabolic Formation, but the storytelling shines through on tracks like “Save You”. Clearly masters of their sound, Pale Horse Ritual blend ominous, atmospheric undertones throughout the album, and incorporate melancholic, blues-inspired riffing on tracks like “D.E.D”. The musicianship across every track is top-tier, and easily pushes the listener to fall into the intoxicating rhythm the band creates.
Evoking images of demons, summoning rituals, and the many things that live in the shadows, Diabolic Formation is a wickedly arranged debut album that grooves as much as it torments.

Bio:
Pale Horse Ritual was officially formed in 2024 by lifelong musical partners Paco (Bass and Vocals) and Jonah Santa-Barbara (Drums); teaming up with Cannabus frontman/lead guitarist James Matheson (Lead Guitar). Later that fall, they headed into the studio to record what would become Diabolic Formation with producer/musician Will Adams (Sun Below, The Electric Cactus); who would later join the band on rhythm guitar/backing vocals part way through the making of the album.
