Edmonton punk rockers The Spuds Mackenzies have finally recorded and released their rendition of the Chappell Roan mega-hit “Pink Pony Club.” The Spuds MacKenzies are everything you would expect from a band named after a poorly thought out beer marketing campaign and are stoked to finally properly record one of their live show staples.
Guitarist/vocalist Chris had this to say about the track: “We ran out of songs to that we had actually played together at a St. Patrick’s Day show…a close friend of ours was in the hospital having been diagnosed with cancer and PPC was her favourite song…we learned it on the spot live and the reaction was so fun we’ve played it live ever since. Recording it feels like a small tribute to her, we still love her and she’s always on our mind.”

Bio:
The Spuds MacKenzies’ bass driven songs pay homage to their influences, delivered with pure love rather than aggression; loud and fast but also nice.
