The album free falls through full band punk anthems, heartfelt protest songs, culinary calamities, and acoustic ballads. Occasionally exploding in a flourish of skate punk or power metal riffage, Mind Palace runs the gamut thematically and musically, a testament to Regretzky’s versatility.
The second single “Cannibal Integrity” takes a deep dive into the threat of AI art. Here is what the man himself had to say about the tune: “Fuck generative AI. Don’t use it to make art. It’s a pointless drain on our planet’s finite resources. It looks dumb and homogenized. It steals real life income from human artists. AI could be used to solve some of humanity’s biggest problems, but instead will be used by billionaires to wage war and control the proletariat more efficiently.”
