Million Years Announce New Single “Elevated” – A Defiant Anthem for Anyone Told They’re “Too Old” to Dream

Durham’s rising alternative scream‐punk outfit Million Years return with their most unapologetic release yet:
“Elevated”, a high‐energy, genre‐hopping single built to silence doubters and ignite mosh pits across the
Northeast. The track lands ahead of their headline‐worthy launch show on 17 April 2026 at Little Buildings,
supporting BRSR.
Formed in 2025, Million Years have carved out a fierce reputation for blistering live shows, relentless
songwriting, and a sound that fuses the rawness of Misfits, the groove of Red Hot Chili Peppers, the punch of
Rise Against, and the boundary‐pushing spirit of Turnstile. The five‐piece—James (Lead Vocals), Dan (Vocals &
Guitar), Ant (Guitar), Steve (Bass), and Enders (Drums) have quickly become one of the Northeast’s most
talked-about new bands.

About the Single: A Middle Finger to Limiting Opinions
“Elevated” was sparked by a moment that hit close to home. After being asked by a client whether he was “too
old” to be in a band making this kind of music, guitarist Dan channeled the frustration, humour, and fire of that
comment straight into the writing room.
The result is a track that stands as a rallying cry for anyone who’s ever been told to tone it down, grow up, or
give up. It’s loud. It’s cathartic. It’s defiant. And it’s Million Years at their sharpest.
Single Launch Show:
The single launch at Little Buildings on 17 April 2026 isn’t just another date on the calendar; it’s shaping up to
be one of Million Years’ most electrifying shows to date. Known for its intimate, sweat‐on‐the-walls atmosphere
and fiercely loyal grassroots crowd, Little Buildings is the perfect home for a track born from defiance, grit, and
refusing to shrink yourself for anyone.
This show marks the first time fans will experience “Elevated” live, in the room it was practically built for:
close‐quarters chaos, bodies moving as one, and that unmistakable Northeast energy that turns a gig into a
moment. Expect a set stacked with new material the band have been quietly sharpening over the past year –
songs that push their scream‐punk sound into heavier, groovier, and more experimental territory.
Sharing the stage with BRSR, the night promises a collision of high‐octane performances and a crowd ready to
erupt. For Million Years, it’s more than a release show; it’s a statement of intent. A celebration of doing what you
love loudly, unapologetically, and without permission.
