To not give any spoilers, I will only describe my favorite track from Back 2 Basics. The song is “Take a Trip.” The song starts with some excellent sounds I haven’t heard before, but they instantly drew me in. Then the beat hit, I couldn’t help but bump it on my speakers to feel that bass. The lyrics are about taking what they call medicine to help you open your mind and see the truth. Grim Singmuf starts out talking about having plenty to share, creating an inviting atmosphere out of the gate. The chorus hits and talks about left-brain and right-brain ideas and creativity and taunts that you can’t get as high as them to get on their level. Canna CDK talks about opening up to the truth and finding yourself. The chorus smacks you again, and the song comes to an end. Throughout the song, there are background instruments that intrigued me and truly created more interest throughout the song. I’ve listened to this track several times, and each listen is as exciting as the last. When this album hits, definitely get it or stream it. It needs to be on your playlist so you could properly celebrate 420!
