“We Can Go,” starts with a chord progression that has a bit of a mysterious vibe, but there’s a touch of hope to the music. ERA comes in and begins to describe the desire of a girl she wants a taste of. She’s got to be respectful, though, because the girl she’s chasing isn’t easy. The lyrics and melody during the pre-chorus build-up talking about what many of us want to go, “To the beach, not quarantine at home.” Many of us definitely could relate to that one. The music during the chorus sounds more open with arpeggiated chords and an excellent airy melody making you feel like you really are drifting off to the beach. “We can go to where ever you dare,” are the lyrics of the chorus. Hopefully, they’re waiting until after the shelter in place to keep us all safe, but the feeling is definitely understandable. The second verse describes trying to get the girl into bed, but she’s not quite the type, but the pre-chorus and chorus lets us know of ERA’s real intentions. To take someone she loves on a trip and romance them. Get them out of the house to enjoy life. The chorus repeats with amazing vocal harmonies and variations on the vocal melodies that’ll keep you listening until the end. If you haven’t heard this song yet, you need to. If it’s not on your inspirational quarantine playlist, then it needs to be! Like her last few singles, this one is a YouTube exclusive. Check it out there!
