First off, tell us about your musical past, would you tell us about your early years?

XT – My early years were pretty cool; it was a steep learning curve and I was eating it all up. I had no singing experience, so it was all about learning and growing. I miss how exciting and new it all was.

How would you describe your sound?

XT – In one word: FUN!

Which artists have the biggest influence on your sound?

XT – I’m not entirely sure it is just one artist. I have always loved
Pop music and so it is what sounds fresh and inviting.

What’s the last song you listened to?

XT – “Still Learning” by Halsey. I think she has solid pop music.

What’s your source for hearing new music?

XT – Pandora, Spotify, YouTube – not necessarily in that order.

Who is your dream producer?

XT – Timbaland!!!

If you could collaborate with anyone, who would it be?

XT – Man, that’s a wild question cause my mind goes nuts with choices. But, my biggest dream is to go on tour opening for Katy Perry. I think I would be a great fit, since she is also a fun pop artist.

What led you to music, and what motivates you to keep making it?

XT – Music moves me from deep within, and I just have always known that I want to create it and perform.

Tell us about the songwriting process. How does it all come together?

XT – I write to music mostly. First comes the track and then I get
inspired to write a song based on how the music makes me feel. This is how it works for me most of the time.

How do you connect with your audience? What is the easiest way for them to connect with you?

XT – I am on most of the social media platforms, but my favorite is
definitely Instagram. I’m very active on it.

Connect with Xavier Toscano via his website, YouTube, VEVO, Spotify, and Instagram.

Tell us about your latest album, Feels So Good. What was the recording process like? What song would you say is your favorite on the album and why?

XT – When I first started this project, I knew I wanted to create “good,” “solid” music. I sought out a producer who had impressed me (Gawain Mathews) and pitched some ideas to him. He then created instrumentals for me write to. Other producers got involved as well, and that’s how the songs came about. If I had to choose a favorite, I would have to say “Never Wanna Leave,” it just feels like it’s the most me.

“Runaway” is your most listened to song on Spotify right now. Why do you think that is? What lyrics resonate with you the most from that song and what do they mean to you?

XT – Yeah, I was surprised by that. I think the song resonates with
people because at one point or another have wanted to leave it all
behind and just be with that special someone we love. 😉

The “Runaway” music won an award for special effects. While you were filming the video, did you know it was going to gain such attention? Describe what it was like filming the video.

XT – Not a clue! I am very happy about that, though.

“Never Wanna Leave” received an award for the best EDM/Dance award. Who did the choreography for that one? Was it tough to learn the steps?

XT – Yeah, I was happy about that as well. A dancer I have worked with for a long time came up with it. His name is Brian Brooks, and yes, it was tough! HAHAHAHAH! I love Brian; he is an amazing soul.

You’ve had five songs from Feels So Good featured on Keeping Up With The Kardashians. How’d it feel to be featured on such a popular show? Which songs were featured on the show? Was it weird hearing your songs on the show?

XT – Yeah, that came as a huge surprise! Five songs ended up on the show were “Never Wanna Leave,” “The Remedy (Feel Alright),” “Apologies Wasted,” “Castles In The Sky,” and “Made It Look Easy.” Not weird at all. Those songs landed right where they belong! LOL! 😉

Have you walked into a 24-Hour Fitness or a Foot Locker and heard one of your songs playing? If so, what was that experience like?

XT – No, I haven’t seen them there yet. I just haven’t found myself
there.

Do you ever hear your songs used during advertisements by major brands? What’s that like?

XT – I have had my songs used online for major brands (Pop Chips, RedBull, etc), and it is SO cool to see your songs on their websites.

You’ve performed at some major events. Which one was your favorite? Any memorable moments you’d like to share from one of the performances?

XT – I fell in love with London when I was there. I will also never
forget being in front of thousands of people in Washington DC singing in front of the Capitol Building. That was AMAZING! It is an indescribable feeling.

What’s next for you?

XT – I think I’m gonna go on my Instagram and reply to some messages. LOL! But I am also planning a new video at the moment.

Anything else you’d like to add or let us know about?

XT – YES! Please share my new video “Made It Look Easy.” I am happy with how hard my team worked to make it happen.
