Trash N’ Privilege comes at us raw and no rubber with their latest EP, One More Round!
Trash n’ Privilege is an American punk band hailing from Fresno, CA. Fresno is dusty, smoggy, and hot. These provide the ingredients required for Steve Shepard (Guitar, vocals) and Jim Chaffin (drums) to cook up their own batch of punk rock. Trash n’ Privilege is highly influenced by the 80s California and DC hardcore scenes where they cut their teeth and grew up. Their style of punk is a caffeine-laced cocktail of driving beats from drummer Jim Chaffin (The Crucified, The Blamed and Deliverance) with raw vocals and heavy guitar from Steve Shepard (District of Columbias). Lyrically, Trash n’ Privilege deals with criticisms of all the hypocrite culture, “woke” violence, and everyday life experiences of the neighborhood tax-paying atheist, nihilist, and Christian. Musically, they are loud and fast, with few songs exceeding three minutes, pretty much like most things from Fresno.
