Why? Because of Her, that’s why! Who’s her? Rigoberto Nolasco’s new book, of course, Because of Her: Vol I! Check it out on Amazon!

Bio: Rigoberto Nolasco is a first-generation Mexican American whose current focus in writing is on the highs and lows of love between partners and how its complexities can ruin some, albeit temporarily, but make the bonds of others’ stronger. He is married to a supporting woman (his words, not mine. I’m sure it’s true, though.) and a father of four awesome offspring. Rigo writes prose, poetry and has a book on life and relationships.

Rigoberto Nolasco has a real knack for noticing and bringing out the importance of the little things in life. These tiny moments are easy for us all to miss because our lifestyle is fast-paced, but this is why Rigo’s poetry is essential; it reminds us to slow down and take it all in. The English language doesn’t have a word for these things, but the Danish and Norwegian call it hygge. Hygge refers to finding comfort, pleasure, and warmth in simple, soothing things like cozy atmospheres of the feelings of friendship. That’s what Rigo talks about, that simple, comfortable feeling of being with the person you care about. Rigo expresses the moments of lying next to your lover or embracing a loved one and just taking in all minor parts of the sensations, committing all of it to memory. I feel my words fail to describe what Rigo excels in, making art out of these small things in life; reading Because of Her: Vol I is a master class in noticing and feeling the little things that matter. Another great author, Kurt Vonnegut said, “Enjoy the little things in life because one day you`ll look back and realize they were the big things,” and that is what I think Rigo Nolasco is trying to tell us in Because of Her: Vol I. Rigo doesn’t stick to the concept of hygge, he also explores love and loss, and regret, but most of Rigo’s poetry dwells in the positive, leaving the reader feel uplifted. If you enjoy hygge and people noticing the little things in life, then you’d love the poetry in Because of Her: Vol I by Rigoberto Nolasco.
