Promise Game – Sleeping Weather – Single Review

Wake up! It may be “Sleeping Weather,” but you’ll want to be awake for Promise Game’s latest track called “Sleeping Weather.” It’s a banger!

Promise Game is lyrically relevant, creatively bound, and harmonically emphasized. Southern New Hampshire-based Promise Game was formed in early 2020 as a way for five long-time friends to get back into the music scene after being gone for some time.

The band’s debut EP It Won’t Be Long Now… introduced a sound that strayed from the Pop-Punk “norm,” mixing many different styles and genres into a cohesive collection of tracks, including fan favorites “Take It Back” and “Thanks for the Anxiety.” After great reception from listeners, multiple radio/podcast features, and strong reviews, Promise Game set out to take their music to a whole new level.

In the Summer of 2020, PG released “Any Reason to Party” ft. Joshua Herzer of Lions Lions. The song quickly gained a lot of traction and exposure within the world of alternative music, being featured by outlets such as Scene Daddy, CTRLPlusSpace, New Noise Magazine, and many more. A few months after the release, the band played for live audiences throughout New England, supporting national tours featuring Driveways, Goalkeeper, FRND CRCL, Big Smile, and other up-and-coming groups.

With their new single “Sleeping Weather” and plans to release their second EP in early 2022, it’s clear that Promise Game is ready for the next chapter in their story. The music to come may not sound like what you’ve heard in the past. That’s the beauty of what these guys are doing – making music they love, and knowing their fans and new listeners will too.

“Sleeping Weather” by Promise Game starts with a sweet bass riff that suddenly slaps you in the face with a hot synth riff right out of the 80s. If that doesn’t wake you from the sleeping weather that November is known for in the US, then maybe Colin’s phenomenal vocal melody will? Or the awesome guitar? What about the amazing drums? Whatever it may be, you’ll want to be conscious to experience Promise Game’s “Sleeping Weather.” It sounds like Promise Game has continued to combine Alternative Rock with Pop-Punk in a masterful way to create a truly unique soundscape. The synth takes the sound over the top and makes it truly stand out in the genre. Because of the ingenuity of the track’s sound, we seriously must give this song CTRLPlusSpace.com’s Alternative track of the season. We think Promise game earned track of the season each season this year, so we have to congratulate Promise Game for such a feat. Fans of Wonder Years and All-American Rejects will feel right at home with this track on their stereo, and they need this track on their playlist now!
