The Beatles of Pop-Punk are back! Mixed Kid Fridays’ “The Ghost of Funky Chuck” is as funky as the name suggests!
Mixed Kid Fridays won our Best Pop-Punk Fusion for 2022 award, and there’s a reason for that. “The Ghost of Funky Chuck” epitomizes the fusion of Pop-Punk and Funk. We’ve never heard anything quite like it. People have called Mixed Kid Fridays the Beatles of Pop-Punk, and we hear it with the harmonies and innovation.
When “The Ghost of Funky Chuck” starts, I bet you can’t stop moving to the funky bassline or singing along with the smooth vocals. It’ll infect you immediately. Mixed Kid Fridays told us that this song is for the punks who know you don’t have to sound punk to be punk. “Think of the Clash, they would have written a funky song like “The Ghost of Funky Chuck” and kept their punk rockiness.”

We must agree with Mixed Kid Fridays, as The Clash definitely wrote songs that weren’t punk-sounding, but the attitude was still there. Fans of The Clash need to have “The Ghost of Funky Chuck” on their playlist right now!
