Delon took a moment to answer our questions about his music and how he makes it. Let’s see what he has to say!
First off, What’s up with your name? Is there a story behind it?
I have a couple names but Delon is the artist I guess that’s where I feel most creative

I used to play a lot of guitar hero on ps2. And sing along to the radio.
How would you describe your sound?
Raw af This is more of a question for the audience I’m just saying what’s real to me
Which artists have the biggest influence on your sound?
I grew up with a mix of reggae like bob marley and Gregory issacs and punk rock like the Ramone’s and Sex Pistols I try not to listen to new stuff so much
What’s the last song you listened to?
“Drowning” by Delon
What’s your source for hearing new music?
I watch a lot of movies, I find a lot of cool stuff that way.
Who is your dream producer?
Someone who understands my voice and hears the story
If you could collaborate with anyone, who would it be?
me and swifty would do it proper
What led you to music, and what motivates you to keep making it?
I just really enjoy writing and might be too sporadic to write a book so these lil poems and journals will do for now.
Tell us about the songwriting process. How does it all come together?
I try and just let it be natural I go back and forth between reading books and scribbling ideas riffs etc on paper i listen to some sounds and then I open my mouth and do some free styling half the time it sounds like a rooster and the other half i end up with a solid melody and some cool key words to play with. But really I feel I just have to live and let life give me the words. Like I had to go through a lot of what it is that ends up being a story that turns into a song. You can’t rush that
How do you connect with your audience?
That’s something I’m working on. I feel like my songs raw they have few faults and some really beautiful scenery so It feels more relatable I think people are tired of filters and want to see growth.
What is the easiest way for them to connect with you?
