Do you have a story behind your artist name?
– it’s my actual name – my full name is Isabella Mimi Storm
Tells us a bit about your music journey. How has it shaped you?
– It’s definitely been a journey, there’s been ups and downs – many downs in fact to the point I’ve been on the verge of giving up a couple of times. It’s definitely an industry which you need thick skin for, to not rely on others to motivate you or get you to where you want to be and you need to have a hell of a lot of confidence in yourself, a confidence that is unshakeable. Backing yourself is just the start of it. I would say though – I wouldn’t be the person I am now though had it been easy and I am grateful for the journey, all it has shown me, taught me, opened me up to.
How would you describe your sound to someone unfamiliar with it?
– think Miley Cyrus, P!nk, Sia, Christina Aguilera and Britney Spears – I grew up idolising them. Pop princess with a hint of rock and roll, unapologetic lyrically, feel good, badass, know who you are and claim your confidence kind of vibe.
What drew you to the genre /instruments you’re playing right now?
– I love a powerhouse, energy uplifting anthem that reminds me who the hell I am – so that’s what I wanted to create.
What inspires you to write music?
– I’ve always written, from being young sat on a beach with my grandparents to now. When I was younger I found it quite hard to communicate my feelings out loud and writing helped me do that.
Would you tell us about your current project, album/EP, or song you’re promoting?
– I just released my first single CryBaby which is off my upcoming EP being released 2025. CryBaby was written to be a badass, confidence giving, know who you are kind of vibe. I wanted the song to have a big beat you could dance to and a catch line you could shout at the top of your lungs – that line is ‘mummy didn’t raise no quitter’.
What do you want listeners to take away from listening to your music?
– I want my music to empower people, to remind them to own who they are and always stay true to themselves. Had I not done the latter, CryBaby wouldn’t be out in the world.

– Teddy Swims, Miley Cyrus, the Weeknd

What’s next for you? –
– I’m currently working on the next single which is dropping early 2025. I have a vision for this one and I won’t rest until I’ve achieved it.
