Bringing the horrors of being hunted by deep-space apex predators and the crushing weight of deathcore and grind, Luddite has found a new avenue to share pure dread. Released March 1, Xenomorphic Adaptation is a tribute and extrapolation of fear inspired by the Alien franchise.

Blasting beats and guttural vocals drive this sci-fi horrorshow that deftly navigates the oppressive weight of deathcore with menacing riffs that add a groove throughout. Kicking off with the iconic line of dialogue from Alien protagonist Ridley “Get away from her, you bitch!”, Xenomorphic Adaptation launches into a sonic slaughter that is both expansive, layered, and devastatingly heavy.
Imagine being stranded in space, floating on a derelict ship when the walls start hissing and lurching towards you. At that moment, it’s fight or flight…and flight isn’t an option. Spawning from the obvious admiration for the sci-fi horror genre, Luddite brings all the beloved benchmarks of deathcore to the iconic film series. With features from Vile Decree’s Paul Cavarzan and Gilded Lily’s Andrew Helinski, Xenomorphic Adaptation feels like a team effort to escape the gnashing maw of certain, bloodthirsty doom.
Luddite is the latest addition to the artists who have released music via Lion’s Jawbone. The micro label has a remarkable knack for producing dynamic work from exceptional talent that spans genres (Thief’s Boon and The Night Apple’s Explorations are personal favourites). With artwork by monster maverick Neil Smith, Xenomorphic Adaptation is a well produced and expertly handled project that not only represents the quality of the one-man-band, but genuinely honours the franchise that inspired this foundation.
