Remy Verreault, solo-skate punker from La Baie, Quebec has released a new record entitled “Built From Silence.” A prolific songwriter, this is his 15th release since signing with High End Denim Records in 2023!
Verreault on his new record: “Built From Silence is the album where I tried to step outside my comfort zone. Slower tempos, different styles, and songs that don’t always move at full speed. I also experimented with things I had never done vocally before.
The second half of the album, in acoustic form, opens the door to the possibility of performing live without needing musicians with me. I dedicated nearly two intense months to composing, recording, refining, starting over… and this is the result: the album that, in my opinion, stands out the most in my discography and the one where I pushed myself the hardest to raise the bar.”

Nestled deep within the limits of La Baie (one of Saguenay’s 3 boroughs), lies Quebec’s best kept punk rock secret – Remy Verreault! Well, not that secret. After spending decades fine tuning his craft in such heavy hitters as We Love Danger, Wrong Advice, and most recently, Mark & The Wolves, Verreault decided to take a stab at a solo career. 6 releases later (yes, six!), he caught the attention of High End Denim Records for his 7th and mightiest release entitled “On My Own.” Containing 12 high heaters and an acoustic rendition of a previously released song, this album is a great way to kick off 2023 right!
