If you want a Halloween anthem with real bite, Joel Christian, known as the “Prince of Dark Fantasy Pop,” has just released “HEART RIPPER.” It’s the kind of wild energy your playlist needs this spooky season.
Imagine the moody, synth-heavy atmosphere of Depeche Mode colliding with the high-octane Pop perfection of Lady Gaga or Kim Petras. That is the sonic landscape of “HEART RIPPER.” It opens with a stripped-down version of the chorus, then moves into a haunting verse that feels like a cold chill down your spine, before exploding into an incredibly catchy chorus. The beat is absolute fire; it is impossible not to move your body to this. Joel delivers every line with the kind of smoldering charisma you would expect from a modern-day Count Dracula.
The experience goes beyond just the music. The visuals are dramatic and bold. If you’re a fan of Lady Gaga or Madonna’s unique fashion, you’ll love Joel’s style. In the video, he appears in a crown and veil, and by the climax, he’s covered in blood. It’s raw, intense, and striking.
The “RIP RIP RIP RIPPAH” hook is meant to make an impact. It sounds like a heart being torn out, matching the emotions Joel felt while making the song. He says he felt drained and empty during the writing process, and used the studio to turn those feelings into music. He worked with producer Danny to make sure this new phase is bold and focused on performance.
If you like Adam Lambert or the Pet Shop Boys, you should check this out. It’s more than a song, it’s Joel Christian showing he’s more than ready to be a full performance artist. “HEART RIPPER” is a strong and memorable start.

Bio:
Joel Christian is a dark pop performance artist whose work explores the intersection of theatrical pop, gothic aesthetics, and emotionally charged storytelling. Blending music, visual art, and performance, Joel creates an immersive artistic world where cinematic darkness meets unapologetic self-expression.
With over 100 press features, a growing catalogue of music videos, and a discography spanning more than 20 tracks, Joel has steadily developed an identity that extends beyond music. At his core, he is a performance artist who views every release as an opportunity to build a visual narrative, challenge creative boundaries, and connect with audiences through emotion and spectacle.
Now, with the release of HEART RIPPER, Joel Christian enters a bold new creative era. Embracing gothic-pop influences, theatrical presentation, and a darker cinematic direction, this chapter represents a deeper exploration of his identity as both a musician and performer. More than a musical evolution, it marks a commitment to creating an experience where sound, visuals, and live performance exist as one.
With a forthcoming album anticipated in early 2027, Joel Christian is building a world entirely his own — one rooted in theatrical expression, dark pop, and the art of making emotion impossible to ignore.
