First off, What’s up with your name? Is there a story behind it?
Closey is my nickname that I’ve had since high school, it just stuck, forever.
Tell us about your musical past, would you tell us about your early years?
I’ve had a few bands over the years, but nothing like Zypmouth. This is the most fun I’ve had with music so far.
How would you describe your sound?
Fast, poppy-skate punk.
Which artists have the biggest influence on your sound?
Bands like; blink-182, MxPx, Fenix TX, Busted etc.
What’s the last song you listened to?
Blink-182 – Wrecked Him
What’s your source for hearing new music?
Mainly YouTube and Spotify
Who is your dream producer?
Travis Barker
What led you to music, and what motivates you to keep making it?
When I was little my grandpa got me my first guitar, and over the years music has become one of the most important things to me. I mostly write about situations that I’ve either been through in the past or are going through at the current time. It’s very therepeutic also.
Tell us about the songwriting process. How does it all come together?
Sometimes it starts off with a random riff or lyric that comes into my head. I also sometimes have dreams and in that dream there’s a riff or a lyric and so I wake up and get a rough melody down quickly so I don’t forget it, and then go from there.
How do you connect with your audience? What is the easiest way for them to connect with you?

What’s next for you?
The 2nd single off the new Zypmouth album will be out on the 25th of November, and then the first Zypmouth album will be released some point next year. I’m also planning to hopefully play some shows and release a music vid too.
