You think Chasing Titans will ever catch the mythical entities from Greek lore? Here’s hoping you caught Chasing Titans’ sound!
First off, What’s up with your name? Is there a story behind it?
Coming up with the name “Chasing Titans” was something that sparked the fire of determination within the three of us. We liked it because it called to mind the grandeur of Greek mythology and the immortal Titans, inviting us to never give up on our most ambitious dreams. We feel the name exudes the spirit of perseverance, urging us to believe that anything is possible if we just work hard enough and never give up. It is not only the name of our band but also a concept that inspires us.
Tell us about your musical past, would you tell us about your early years?
Adrian and Sly first met in 2018 and immediately connected musically, leading them to embark on a journey to find a vocalist and drummer to join their traditional 4 piece band. Despite their efforts, they were unable to find vocalists that meshed with the sound they were striving for. After a period of experimentation, they ultimately decided to take on vocal duties themselves while continuing to play their instruments. This approach ended up complementing the alternative and heavier atmospheric direction they began to pursue. Recognizing the need for a top-notch drummer to fully realize their vision, Adrian and Sly enlisted Torrance, whom Adrian had previously played with in other bands. With the final member on board, the trio began working on perfecting their sound and moving forward as a unit.
How would you describe your sound?
We see Chasing Titans as a blend of various musical genres with a metalcore edge, brought to life by Adrian and Sly’s dynamic vocals which allow a range of influences to shine through. This diversity is what makes it unique.
Which artists have the biggest influence on your sound?
Bring Me The Horizon, Architects, Linkin Park, Killswitch Engage, Rammstein, The Cure, The Smiths, The Arctic Monkeys and Tool have all heavily influenced us.
What’s the last song you listened to?

What’s your source for hearing new music?
Mostly Spotify and Youtube
Who is your dream producer?
Don Gilmore for sure – he’s produced some of the most iconic albums of all time!
If you could collaborate with anyone, who would it be?
If given the chance, we would love to collaborate with Oliver Sykes!
What led you to music, and what motivates you to keep making it?
Music provides a wonderful escape from the daily grind, a place where anything and everything can be expressed through art. It doesn’t discriminate based on who you are, where you come from, or what you’re trying to accomplish. It can be a constant source of solace and friendship in times of need, and few other things in life offer such comfort and dependability.
Tell us about the songwriting process. How does it all come together?
We usually begin the songwriting process by creating the music – a guitar riff, bass line, or drum beat – and then building on it until the majority of the song is complete. After that, we add lyrics, either inspired by the music or written beforehand by Adrian and then fittingly paired with the completed music. The lyrics serve to convey the intended message of the song. However, this process isn’t always followed strictly – sometimes the lyrics come first and guide the direction of the music.
How do you connect with your audience? What is the easiest way for them to connect with you?
The easiest way to reach us is at our official site – https://chasingtitansofficial.com/ or on any of our socials (Facebook/Instagram).
What’s next for you?
In the coming weeks, we will be premiering the music video for the first single from our EP “Cabin Fever.” We will then be performing the entire EP live for the first time at the end of January. For the remainder of the year, we plan to tour and promote the EP as much as possible, with a music video for the second single, “Vengeance,” set to be released in a few months.
Anything else you’d like to add or let us know about?
Releasing this EP has been a major accomplishment for us and would not have been possible without the tireless efforts of our producer Ben Ruegg, as well as Bonnie Smith, Matt Reid, David Perillo, Andrew Bennett, and the unwavering support of our fans from the very beginning. We are deeply grateful and hope you enjoy it as much as we enjoyed creating it. Thank you from the bottom of our hearts.
