“I Would Prefer Not To” is the first single off the upcoming album “Expel”, slated to release 11/8/2024. The song surrounds Paul’s words written in Romans 7:15-20 and provides a sincere, and absolutely catchy, anthem for us to remember to feed the fire, not of sin, but of the Holy Spirit.
The band says the new album explores the various sins, habits, and thoughts that we need to expel from our lives – get them out into the open and out of our lives.
”“Expel” will be available on Vinyl and CD; as well as your favorite streaming service. The album is available for purchase/pre-orders directly from the band via their bandcamp page.

Bio:
Hailing from Sacramento, California, this four-piece blends their favorite brands of punk rock: pop punk, skate punk, and melodic hardcore. Their oftentimes tongue-in-cheek lyrics are intended to speak truth and positivity in a world filled with divisiveness and chaos.
Light The Way started in 2016 and released their first EP, “Grace” late that year and their second EP, “Dude, Lame” just a few months later on Indie Vision Music. They released their first full length record “False Memory Syndrome” in 2018 and another EP “Dad Gang” in 2019, both on Indie Vision Music. The band took the extra time through the Covid-19 pandemic to write a batch of new songs and a second full length was recorded in summer 2021 and caught the ears of Small Step Records. In April 2022 the band released their 2nd LP “Long Story Short” and also hit the road in summer of 2023 for a Pacific Northwest tour.
Back with their best work to date, Light the Way will release their 3rd LP, “Expel” on 11/8/2024.
