Do you have a story behind your artist name?
I’ve always wished there was a cool crazy story behind the name but it was as random as they come fueled by too much weed, sitting in a hammock. I love the same though because it’s a perfect embodiment of what the band is. Weird but familiar.
Tells us a bit about your music journey. How has it shaped you?
Music has shaped all of us differently but brought us together for the same love of the craft. Our music career has shaped us and our lives in a lot of different ways collectively over the last few years. Made us closer, appreciate more, love traveling, learn how to be in close quarters for long periods of time. It’s taught us everything about perseverance, proper perspective and determination.
How would you describe your sound to someone unfamiliar with it?
We call it Theatrical Hard Rock. Very similar to Post Hardcore music but with an early 2000s alt rock twist. Similar to A Day To Remember, Chevelle & post 2015 Asking Alexandria. And if you haven’t seen us live, you haven’t truly experienced Arsenic Kitchen.
What drew you to the genre / instruments you’re playing right now?
I was 4 years old when I saw Eric Clapton and BB King play live together and I decided I wanted to play guitar more than anything. Then I saw Phil Collins play the drums live and I decided I wanted to do that too. Then I fell in love with Disney musicals and decided I wanted to write amazing symphonic music, then Slipknot and knew I wanted to express my frustrations with the world through music. I’ve always known I wanted to be a songwriter and a performer and being a guitarist just happens to be the thing I fell into – the instrument that has my heart the most.
What inspires you to write music?
Life, movies, tv, other artists, politics, anger, hate, sadness, love, anything and everything inspires us to write. Music is art and art at its finest is an expression of the self. We write about whatever inspires us in the moment and there are so many things in this world to feel inspired by.
Would you tell us about your current project, album/EP, or song you’re promoting?
You don’t have to look too deep to figure out the meaning of G.S.S.
“Got a bad case of, I just don’t give a shit.”
Sometimes you feel something so strongly that you don’t care what anyone else thinks. You’ve gotta chase it and you’ve gotta have it. G.S.S. is about going after what you want no matter what. Acting on impulse and trusting your gut and how freeing it is to just be you!
What do you want listeners to take away from listening to your music?
We want you to feel. Anything, everything. We want our music to resonate with people in whatever way makes them feel seen and heard. We want our music to inspire others like so many artists have inspired us.
Who are your top three artists right now? If that’s not a fair question, what’s your favorite song right now?
Huge inspirations for all of us are Asking Alexandria, Beartooth & Tool
Also our guitarist won’t shut up about Wicked

What’s next for you?
Next we’re headed to Nashville in a few months to record a full length album! This will be our biggest project yet and we’ll be locked away for the next few months perfecting all the songs.
