Do you have a story behind your artist name?
You would have to ask my mother; Constance Regretzky, about that.
Tells us a bit about your music journey. How has it shaped you?
I have been playing in punk rock bands since I was a kid, but didn’t play my first solo show until November 2024.
As far as how music has shaped me; after 3 knee replacements and a complete and total head transplant (lettuce), I am a bit of an oblong shape.
How would you describe your sound to someone unfamiliar with it?
The musical ramblings of a confused stranger as he ambles down the cobblestones of a misty alley under the glow of streetlights. That, and “Pink Pony Club”
What drew you to the genre /instruments you’re playing right now?
One of the first albums I ever bought for myself was Offspring’s Americana sometime around 1998 when it came out. Two years later my family and I moved across the country, from Northern Ontario to British Columbia, where I would start high school.
Some of the kids at my new school were also into punk rock music, and some of them were even teaching themselves how to play guitar, drums etc. I jumped in with both feet, and within a year of picking up our instruments, we had booked our first show.
What inspires you to write music?
I have an innate desire to write songs. I love the concept of bringing an idea to fruition; from non-existence into being, a tangible part of the universe. Something where there was nothing. It’s magic, you know?
Would you tell us about your current project, album/EP, or song you’re promoting?
I just put out my debut album “Live from Death Mountain”. It was recorded live off the floor at Death Mountain Sound with no audience present. Just me and my acoustic guitar.
What do you want listeners to take away from listening to your music?
I would love it if they would all take away a t-shirt from the merch table, so I can finally get the Jet-Ski that I deserve.
Who are your top three artists right now? If that’s not a fair question, what’s your
Mac Dre, Lady GaGa, Trashed Ambulance

Bio:
Duane Regretzky
From the frigid lakeshores of Kenora, Ontario by way of British Columbia, road scholar Duane Regretzky’s frenzied blend of furious punk rock sensibilities and thoughtful songwriting will be sure to leave lookers-on not only entertained, but stupefied.
Also known as the guitarist & singer / founding member of BC punk band Let’s Go, Duane launched into his solo career in late 2024. Since then he has toured across Western Canada, his avant garde delivery being well received at gigs featuring bands like The Corps, DOA and Trashed Ambulance. Duane Regretzky’s set flows effortlessly between his punk ethos, folk-lore and a whole lot of laughs…oh, and he once scored 50 goals in 39 games – pretty impressive!
Debut album to be released on High End Denim Records Spring 2025
