What happens when two Earworm Entertainment artist powerhouses get together and form a group? Worm City Syndicate happens, and we rejoice!
The Worm City Syndicate is a secret society that has come to the surface to join forces with Earworm Entertainment. These primordial beings, seemingly humanoid, ascended from the vernal pools deep in the dark deciduous New England forest. They exist as “fungal-simian” hybrids who co-exist with intergalactic parasites brought to Earth by foreign spores that hitchhiked to Earth on meteorites. Deep underground are ancient cities inhabited by these subterranean hybrid humanoids, who left the surface to survive a thermonuclear war over 14,000 years ago. Those who went underground were once more human-like until they became symbiotes for a parasitic race of worms. Those who were infected evolved to become one with the worms. They continue to grow and evolve underground, having created vast tunnel networks across North America connecting each of their cities. The Worm City Syndicate holds it down for their brothers and sisters of the underground. They are spreading new sounds and vibrations to the underground and beyond. The purpose is to uplift the souls of those who Intergalactic worm-like parasites have infected, as-well-as to infect those who have not made a symbiotic relationship with the worms.

DMK: DMK is part of NFG or No Fucks Given are an experimental rap group from Worcester, MA that formed in 2012. Their track “WDGAF (Mixtape Version)” was featured on the Earworm Entertainment Mixtape Vol. III. DMK also recorded an album with Grim Singmuf called Immaculate Cacophony in 2020. Now, he joins Grim once again in Worm City Syndicate.
Grim Singmuf says that Worm City Syndicate’s Humbling Revelations is his best and favorite work yet. He says that he and DMK both wrote beats for the album. Grim told me that “Deep Inside,” my favorite on the album, was produced by Grim, and the piano piece in it was his best attempt at playing keys on a midi controller. Let’s see if the album lives up to Grim Singmuf’s hype!
The album consists of twelve tracks:
- The Fun Begins
- Nothing Can Bring Me Down
- Waiting so Long
- Never Ending
- Humbling Revelations
- By My Side
- I’m Still Here
- Deep Inside
- So Fine
- No Time for Chillin’
- On My Grind
- Immortality
Humbling Revelations opens with “The Fun Begins,” which repeats the group’s name and then drops into some hot rhymes. It’s a great introduction track, and you won’t forget the name of the group, that’s for sure!
“Nothing Can Bring Me Down” starts with an acoustic guitar and a sort of sung line, “I am so happy now. I feel like I could do anything thing. Nothing can bring me down.” It’s an uplifting track that certainly won’t bring you down.
Starting with a drum beat and an ominous piano intro, “Waiting so Long” sets the tone for an uneasy subject matter. The lines, “What’s wrong with my mind,” sums the song up nicely.
“Never Ending” is a track talking about Worm City Syndicate manifesting hot rhymes to open your eyes to the truth about the controlling parties around us.
“Humbling Revelations” is a track consisting of high hats and snare hits that accompany breathy vocals. Later, the track breaks into Grim’s rhymes reminding you to “keep bumping that Earworm sound.”
“By My Side” talks about the Worm City Syndicate being by Grim’s side. This track has some exciting backing music; the sound they use on the keyboard is different. You have to hear it to get what I’m talking about!
“I’m not afraid, I’m not afraid, I’m still here,” is the opening line to “I’m still here.” The track is about how the Earworm artists are still here, and they don’t care about your clout.
“Deep Inside” has some incredible, spacey, and other-worldly sounding keyboard sounds. The track is about how the government has a desire to control its citizens.
“We just do what we want to do, keeping it real, we rise above any negativity, just will, living our best lives, living our best lives, feeling so fine,” completely sums “So Fine” nicely.
“No Time for Chillin’” starts with some chilling sounds that sets the tone to reminds us to be creative and we don’t have time to waste.
“On My Grind” has Canna CDK and Maniak Max with Grim Singmuf and DMK. They’re rapping about how Earworm Entertainment artists are on their grind and how real their rhymes are.
“Staying strong is not optional” is a line that stood out in “Immortality.” “In this resurrection, I’m ready to spawn again,” is another standout line. “Immortality” is full of hot piano tracks. The track is about spirituality and deep thinking.
Humbling Revelations has a realness to it, as does everything that Grim Singmuf is attached to. It’s definitely what we’ve come to expect from him, but this time, he and DMK, brought the thunder with electric new beats and keyboard sounds. It’s definitely worth a listen. If you like philosophical rap, if you like songs about expanding your mind, if you like songs about staying real with your homies, then you need Humbling Revelations in your playlist!
