“a t0XiC PiLL” starts chill and melancholy with the vocalist singing, “I’m takin’ this toxic pill, supposed to make me happy,” and then it erupts into a heavy sound that would make any Enter Shikari fan headbang! This tone change appears to symbolize the anger and resentment from taking pills that are supposed to make you happy but don’t. The vocals are smooth in the clean parts and are robust in the screamed vocals. The guitars and drums hit hard and force you to slam dance in your room until you’re out of breath. If your toxic pills don’t make you happy, then MOKERY’s “a T0XiC PiLL” will! Fans of Underoath, Fever 333, and Enter Shikari will feel right at home with MOKERY and need “a T0XiC PiLL” in their playlist now!
